UTICA — Parkway Drugs capped off an outstanding season by defeating Padula Roofing, 16-6, in the Utica Little League Championship game on Tuesday, June 9.
The victory completed an impressive 11-1 season for Parkway Drugs, a team that showcased talent, teamwork, and dedication from the first game of the year through the championship finale.
Led by coaches Rocco Giruzzi, Samantha Colosimo-Testa, and Vin Brescia, Parkway Drugs consistently demonstrated a team-first approach and strong work ethic throughout the season. The players’ commitment to one another and determination on the field played a key role in the team’s success.
Members of the championship team were Anthony Giruzzi, Giordano Giruzzi, Rocco Giruzzi, Mello Testa III, Gio Brescia, Lincoln Schrader, Felix Santana, Axel Mateo, Everette Cook, Devin Linen, and Liam Locorini.
Throughout the season, Parkway Drugs proved to be one of the league’s most complete teams, combining strong play, sportsmanship, and perseverance. The team’s 16-6 championship victory over Padula Roofing served as a fitting conclusion to a memorable year.
