My Ideal Protein Experience
I had tried for several years to lose weight. As a busy mom to 4 my eating habits and exercise had slipped. I had always been active and fit until 40 hit, so losing weight was a real challenge for me. At my yearly physical I was told I had high cholesterol and the best way to lower it was to lose weight. I was disappointed in myself but for some reason could not dig deep and just lose the weight.
I heard about Ideal Protein through a friend who had great success with the plan. I researched it online and asked questions but was still skeptical especially due to the cost. What if I invest in this and it doesn’t work for me? I finally decided to dive into Ideal Protein. I needed something that was going to hold me accountable, teach me better habits, and keep me on track. Knowing that I was paying for food and weighing in weekly motivated me. After all I didn’t want to waste my time or money by cheating on the plan.
Week one …. only 1 pound loss. WHAT? I couldn’t believe it and was immediately discouraged. Thank goodness my coach measured me. I lost several inches off of my body. This quickly got me feeling much better. I learned the scale is not the end all be all. Your body can be losing inches and you may not lose pounds. Learning this helped me to stick with it. The huge variety of foods also helped with cravings for both sweet and savory foods. I never once felt deprived. Some of the foods were even a decadent treat that I still enjoy.
I am grateful that I tried and stuck with Ideal Protein. I lost 35 pounds, numerous inches, lowered my cholesterol and triglycerides, and gained back my self-confidence in 3 short months. I did all of this without feeling deprived or hungry. I love that Ideal Protein also works in phases to teach me how to balance out my meals as well as make better choices moving forward.
